February Family Bonding - A Series of Celebrations
Hi Everyone,
I have been remiss with my blogging duties. I have a lot to share with you in the next days. :)
February was a blur. Time flew so fast! We had a series of family celebrations and bondings for this month. There's Sofia's birthday, Valentine's Day, Chinese New Year, and visit with old friends.
We had celebrated Sofia's 3rd birthday at Blue Bay Walk last February 13, 2015. She had a blast because her cousins were there to play with her. :) I also was in for a surprise because Daddy gave me a bouquet of flowers for the first time of our being together. Yes, that's true, but it did not bother me since I am not a flower-kind of person :D My siblings-in-law and I were listening to the band playing when I noticed that he was gone for quite some time. When I was about to look for him, I saw him walking towards me with the bouquet in his hands. My heart skipped a beat. Nakakakilig pa rin pala ang ganu'ng moment. I really appreciated my husband's effort to make me feel special. I also noted that flowers' prices doubled during V-Day. Sakit sa bulsa kaya special talaga. :D
On Valentine's Day, I surprised him with my gift. An Under Armour running shorts. I could tell he was surprised, too. I was able to sneak a gift for him even if we were with each other's company most of the time. For Valentine's Day, we decided to stay at home. We did not want to suffer congested roads and malls because of the many people celebrating V-Day. We just planned to cook special meals at home. We also did not want to slave in the kitchen on this day, so we just had easy-to-cook ones. For lunch, we had shrimps and tanigue and veggies. For the rest of the day, we watched movies and played with Sofia.
We also celebrated Chinese New Year. We've been doing this for 3 years now just for the fun of it. It was our excuse to buy tikoy and eat a lot.
Before February ended, we brought Sofia to Mall of Asia. She has partiality for malls these days. I think she considered it as a huge playground which came with all the sweets, treats, toys, and Jollibee. Emphasis on Jollibee there. Haha.
We also got the chance to meet with Daddy's old friends, Tarick and Nanette later that day. We went to their house to meet Baby Ron. This was an overdue visit which we should have made December last year. I was not able to take his photo, but it was a joy to see Sofia playing with Baby Ron. Gusto na ng kapatid? :P We went to Blue Bay Walk (again) to bond with them over coffee. There were lots of stories and advices shared between new parents. It was cute to see high school friends were now both parents, and both had advanced in life and in their careers. :)
February rocked!
Live, Love, Laugh with Family!
